Bored with his own accompaniment, he dreamed of a day when he could play and record all the parts of an arrangement himself. Unfortunately, multitrack recorders for the general public were still fifteen years away. In the meantime, he continued to listen to anything that caught his fancy and could listen to pie
is the brainchild of two unique songwriters, Mark Lopez and Dave Schweizer, who have been collaborating together since 2006. Their writing and recordings are firmly rooted in Americana/Folk/Lite-Rock, and their sound evokes J.J. Cale, Grateful Dead, America, The Beatles, Coldplay meets Kenny Rogers and Simon & Garfunkel, with the musical storytelling of James Taylor.
Mark Lopez affectionately calls the realization of this dream Moth Music. The moth serves as a metaphor for the independence of creative musical expression. Moth Music was derived when the composer was struggling to categorize his compositions into a particular genre and this way could utilize all of the diverse influences of his experience.
